ABDA
Genre
Afro Comores
Born in Moheli (Comoros), Abdallah Halifi was rocked throughout his childhood by the traditional rhythms and songs of this archipelago located in the Indian Ocean. Initially a percussionist-backing vocalist, he made his debut on the Comorian scene at the end of the 90s. He subsequently traveled to almost all continents, in the wake of other local groups. In 2014, ABDA established itself on the French-speaking music scene in Mayotte. Its music juggles between French and Comorian, mixing traditional Comorian rhythms, such as m'godro, or reggae, funk and rock.
