Born in Cotonou, Benin, Sym Sam grew up in Senegal, a country that gave birth to and grew his passion for music. Drummer, percussionist and singer, he founded the SYM SAM and FAMILY project, in which he plays with his little brothers. A music that fuses traditional West African sounds with urban, gospel and Jazz music, with sunny and committed texts, especially against social inequalities. After a first single “Bitiyama” released in 2019, Sym Sam released his first EP in 2020: Freedom. He is undoubtedly one of the most promising young people on the Dakar scene!
